Buckyballs
We were lucky to be able to get Dr Jonathan Hare from the Creative Science Centre at Sussex University and also from the BBC series Rough Science to come and give a presentation on Buckminster Fullerine. As well as giving a talk the children got to build their own model of C60 (a buckyball) and also helped build a 1 billion times scale giant version.
Feedback from the day showed that all the children enjoyed the day, in particular working together to build the giant ball at the end.
We finished off the day with some juggling and catching games - continuing the ball theme of the day.
