About

West Sussex NAGC Explorers is a parent run group which has been set up to provide a meeting place for both bright children and their families.

The club aims to meet two main needs:

We provide a forum for bright children to meet and socialise with other children who are interested in similar things, in an environment where their abilities do not set them apart from their peers, and where they can be themselves without feeling they need to hide their abilities to fit in. We do this though activities which are set up to challenge them in many different ways, intellectually, physically and socially. We try to ensure all the activities have an element of team working, and that they are all fun. Most activities are set up to be suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. We believe the whole family should enjoy the fun - not just an elite group of gifted children. Brothers and Sisters are all welcome.

We provide opportunities for parents to compare notes with others in similar situations. It's extraordinary how much of a relief it can be to find that there are other parents encountering the same difficulties! Find out how others have coped, or simply let off steam to a sympathetic listener!

Explorers arranges events where the emphasis is on fun, but with plenty of chances to exercise those little grey cells. NAGC is a membership based charity but we offer non-member rates if you want to come along and try out a few sessions before joining.
